VISITING THE LUNAR RIDGES

Crater Ridges: Rims could be considered ridges - Any crater is going to look pretty dramatic when you look down. Rims are pretty rocky especially for the younger craters.

Smirnov Ridges: Located in Mare Serenitatis, these ridges fall into a category of ridges that formed when lava plains were put under pressure by the heavy lava flows. This particular one is one of the biggest and most dramatic,

Connecting Ridge: Similar in a way. Has high illumination areas between Shackleton and De Gerlache. Again, high priority sites for landing and development.
Rim of Peary Crater: Ridge that has several points that are highly illuminated. Several points like this along the rim of Peary Crater. Immediately adjacent to frozen area. So, high-priority landing and development sites.
