We at the Space Development Network are attempting to lay out as accurate a timeline of space development as we can estimate. As they say, "Prediction is difficult, especially about the future". So we may not have it exactly correct. But we think that there are enough relevant factors which are likely that we can use to guesstimate a rough timeline of space development. We are also introducing some reasonable choices which have not yet been officially made but which we believe will accelerate the timeline and significantly increase the magnitude of off-Earth development. In the Space Development Network, we focus on the near-term and plausible and leave more speculative, undertain approaches to others.
