TRAINING TOPIC AGRICULTURE POSTERS CURRENT DISPLAYS Moon & Mars Cookbooks We want to develop Moon & Mars Cookbooks with recipes that only use those plants we can expect to grow in the initial GreenHabs. The cookbooks wouldn't only be recipes but a strategy of planing and harvesting on a schedule in order to minimize the amount of food storage necessary. FUTURE DISPLAYS Make Soil How could we make soil without having to deal with the toxic dirt on both the Moon and Mars. Our strategy is to take rocks, crush them to the right size, and then add broken down plant waste to steadily improve the quality of soil over time. DemoPlant We would like to develop a small, table-top hydroponic display illustrating the growth of one plant per culinary category. So we would have one grain, one bean, one fruit (e.g. strawberry), one nut, etc. Plate of Food Using the foods grown in the DemoPlant, we would like to illustrate a complete meal.
